Removed the vtcs on a spare manifold i had laying around to prep for the new built motor. Have a mechanic check the wiring between the two components for a short or an open circuit and then check the solenoid and the PCM if the wiring looks good. Exact fit easy install.
The valve does not completely disengage until 3750rpm. Intake charge speed is less of an issue on valves that do not open very much but recall that Mazdas VVT does not vary valve lift. If youre not sure which solenoid to replace resistance through contacts on this part measures 40ohms broken will read open circuit.
