2004 Hyundai Santa Fe Timing Belt Broke. I have 2005 Hyundai Sonata V6 27L Engine with 204000 miles. But I havent had the engine taken apart examined. Looking on the bright side these astras can have water pump problems as well its driven by timing belt so every 60000 for a bit extra its wise to have pump replaced when doing timing belt. A quick look shows that your engine is an interference engine. I have been told I have a Interference Engine and those usually get major damage when the belt breaks while driving. I have a 2004 huyndai Santa Fe. All was well then it started stalling misfiring and dying. I have checked the timing over and over and find all the marks lining up every time.
