2006 Subaru Outback Check Engine Light Cruise Control Flashing. Oil temp light engine check and cruise control flashing light come and go simultaneously. I suspect it is because of the electronic throttle and may be a safety feature but that is completely a guess. It doesnt have to have anything to do with the cruise control. After battery change if the check engine light is on plus cruise icon flashing you have likely blown a fuse.
My check engine light comes on solid with cruise control light blinking and it seems to be linked to my gas tank level. The check engine light will not come on if fluid levels are low or if the temp is getting to high I am pleased to know that you checked all of the fluids most wouldnt have even the slightest thought to even try checking them.
Both are off now but engine light stayed on and cruise blinking. The car seems to run fine. Flashing check engine light is one thing. Every time these lights are on I had my mechanic to check on but. Disconnected the negative terminal on the battery for 30 mins removed gas cap and put it back on securely turned ignition to ACC for a few minutes. The ECU throws the car into limp mode to protect itself from furtherpossible damage.
