Mitsubishi Dlp Tv Lamp Light Red. Now the Red Lamp Light on the front of the unit comes on at random times. I have tried the reset button and it didnt help. First unplug the AC Cord from the wall power outlet and wait for 60 seconds before reapplying power to the TV. I pulled the electronic chassis and the fuses all look good and no caps appear to be bulging.
If the status LED is blinking yellow that means the lamp cover is open. What d read more. If after serveal attempts the TV has not powered on and the LED on the front of the TV is still Solid Red you may want to reseat the lamp. The light turns on solid not blinking and the picture goes black. If I disconnect the ballast the TV comes on with sound then after a few minutes the RED LAMP light comes on. After going thru the motions it settles on a steady red status light.

The LED display shows the current status or indicates a possible malfunction. Mitsubishi 2009 models use a different error code system.
