Nissan Xterra Security System Reset. This reset technique does work though. There is no reset button unless you have an after market alarm on the truck. They commonly have an alarm and an immobilizer system. The security light keeps blinking and Im wondering if it has something to do with. Yes the security light will continually blink about once every 10 seconds or so while the security system is armed. I would suggest having the vehicle towed to the nearest Nissan dealer to have this reset or replaced. Reconnect the wires and using the correct key you should be able to set the Nissan Anti-Theft System in the usual manner. When the security system is functioning properly the goal is for it to disable the cars ability to start when the system detects that the vehicle may be compromised.
