The 22R-E engine features a cast-iron block and aluminum cylinder head with the single overhead camshaft SOHC and two valves per cylinder 8 in total. We recommend checking valve adjustment every 75k to 10k miles. The first part consists of intake valves one and two then exhaust valves one and three. The valve CLEARANCE WILL CHANGE after a good period of time when the camshafts valve seats and valves wear in. A loose valve lifter clearance. 22R22RE engines easy to adjust with screw driver and wrench.
